Rowan Steps Down from Impact Development Fund
Loveland, CO, January 21, 2021 – After twenty years of devoted service, Impact Development Fund (“IDF”) has announced the resignation of Joe Rowan Director of Commercial Lending, effective January 31, 2021. Having originally joined Funding Partners in 2001 as its Senior Loan Officer, Rowan was later tapped to serve as its Executive Director in 2004. In this role, Rowan helped transform the organization through the merger of Funding Partners (Fort Collins) with Mile High Community Loan Fund (Denver) in 2018 and continued evolution to Impact Development Fund as it is known today.
Rowan has not yet announced future plans, though offers, “Let’s be honest. Everyone says they intend to spend more time with family. But after the past nine months, I think we can all agree it’s time to spend more time with people outside our own household.” Rowan continues, “The past twenty years have been among the most rewarding experiences anyone could imagine. Though I’ll sorely miss the countless relationships nurtured over the years, it is extremely gratifying to make way for the incredibly talented team at IDF that is making their own mark in the community.”
“Joe’s twenty-year history with IDF and its predecessor organizations has been distinguished by unwavering commitment in support of affordable housing throughout Colorado” said Sean Doherty, IDF Executive Director. “His legacy as a pioneer, working with local and state governments, developers, financial institutions and policy stakeholders will have lasting impact for the state’s most vulnerable residents well into the future. IDF is grateful for Joe’s long service and wish him the very best.”
Impact Development Fund is a Colorado-based nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with a mission to create economic opportunity by delivering flexible capital to strengthen underserved Colorado communities.
